| Alice in Chains – Down In A Hole Lyrics

Maybe "I wanna be inside of you" is actually him referring to wanting to be in a grave? It would fit with the lines "down in a hole", "bury me softly in this womb [womb = grave/coffin]", "losing my soul", "they've put all the stones in their place [stones = mud that you put over a coffin]" and "here I sit, holding rare flowers in a tomb".
Just a thought. |

I never thought of this song to be about drugs. Not EVERY Alice in Chains song is about drugs y'know!
He's saying he can't let go of this girl even though he knows he needs to coz she's bad for him. |

I love this song. It's one of the most depressing songs ever but it's actually quite uplifting if you take note of the lyrics - REM are trying to say that it's alright to hurt sometimes coz everyone hurts at some point in life. An amazing song from an amazing band! |

"I’m sick of looking for those heroes in the sky
To teach us how to fly"
Is it just me that thinks this is a reference to God? I think he's trying to say that he's sick of waiting for God to teach him how to live his life and that he doesn't believe in him. That's how I see it anyway. |

I first heard this song last night on the Live at Abbey Road programme on channel 4 and it had me in tears. Like others that have commented, I can relate to every single word in this song, it's amazing. And her voice is beautiful. |

I hate this sort of music, I only ever listen to rock, but I love this song, I can relate to it so well. Chris Brown says things in these lyrics that I want to say to someone very special to me but couldn't find the right way to phrase them. Amazing song! |

Personally, I believe he is trying to tell someone he is of more worth and importance than they think he is. They are taking him for granted and he's setting them straight.
I can relate to this song quite alot right now and I love music coz of that - when you feel like you could've written the song yourself coz it's exactly how you feel. |

Not my kinda music, but like SparksOfGold said, this is currently my guilty pleasure too! I can relate to a couple of lines in this song and that's what makes music so great in my opinion. :)
And as for Enrique Iglesias.. when did he turn hot?! lol |
