Creedence Clearwater Revival – I Heard It Through the Grapevine (Marvin Gaye cover) Lyrics 18 years ago
I for one would like to say that whoever it is that started out with "Since English isn't my first language" writes better than any of the rest who've posted here... No offense to the rest- I include myself amongst such ranks.

Dio – Holy Diver Lyrics 18 years ago
On another note, I read somewhere that there was an old NES or SNES video game called Holy Diver, starring a main character based on Mr. Ronnie James himself, but for whatever reason it came out only in Japan, not here. I've only hoid it through the grapevine, though...

Black Sabbath – Hand Of Doom Lyrics 18 years ago
Is it just me, or does yon writer very much like the phrase "Hand of Doom?" Between this song BEING "Hand of Doom," Sabbath Bloody Sabbath's "You're wishing that/ The HAND OF DOOM/ could take your mind away" and the later (vol. 7 or 8) "Writing 'bout the stars/ And thinking 'bout the HAND OF DOOM." (Back Street Kids...)

Black Sabbath – Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Lyrics 18 years ago
Although perhaps not intended as such, I think this song works good about the all-consuming bitterness and hatred of a soul having lost everything and consumed now entirely by the powerful drive of long-sought REVENGE. If somebody ever cost ME everything, like, EVERYTHING, yeah, and in the deepest despairing subconscious depths where are all the darkness winds up to fester and all I cared about was revenge, sure thing, this song would probably be playing through MY head, yep, sure thing.

Black Sabbath – Embryo Lyrics 18 years ago
Yessum, just that, but a phenomenal one. How can a thirty-some second song INTRO, of all things, have such a bloody epic feel to it? It aligns the soul...

Black Sabbath – Spiral Architect Lyrics 18 years ago
I for one would propose a (to the extent of my knowledge) NEW take on these lyrics, might I be so brave. It's iffy, but if anyone thinks I might be right, well, huzzah. The DNA thing is of course the obvious answer, but I think that there may be an underlying theme as well; Spiral Architect might be about film. For one, the blatant part is that the "Architect" would be God, but a maker of a film would be, although only with regards to the fictional world created, God. The eyes of celluloid telling you how to live, well, celluloid is obvious, but of course people do indeed let film, or what they see on "The Tube" in general, tell them how to live, sadly might I add. Most of the lyrics would be examples of the "magic of film," and of course "I build, you pay" might refer to "I make movies, you come and see them," like brainwashed lambs to the slaughter, heh. Oh, and the "Spiral" part of "Spiral Architect?" Well, keep in mind how film worked prior to the DVD (which these lyrics most certainly are); long strands of film going between reels, like interwoven spirals. Hmmm... Where in the x-death did I get a crazy theory like this from? Nah, this can't be right...
