i reckon its actually about himself. a metaphor for rediscovering who he is and the tough path it is to find this out... maybe somethings made him dramatically change? and he wants to find the person he used to be. i just get the idea its more personal than a friend. he looks at all the images that he used to be ie. half smiles and whatnot. |

well the way i see it... he did to something which was asked of him, now is paying the consequences- perhaps something she wanted him to do that he didnt feel right about? now he feels really distant from her, but he obviously doesnt want to let her go. deep down however he knows its not right. now he knows what hes going to have to do is wait until he can feel right again once he feels hes got himself back together, he figures out hes still hurting. really, time is the only cure. i love the whole wolf metaphor this is my favourite off this cd for sure. |

i love josh pyke. this song is awesome. i reckon hes just looking at a new relationship which he is enjoying being in and wants to work out, talking about how he wouldnt really bother if he didnt feel like it was going to work. He pretty much sums it up with the fact that hes willing to put the work in if the other person is. a beatiful song. he has such a great perspective through all his music. |

| definately my favourite song... i think its really all left to the very last line, where he sings "cast some light and you'll be alright" in the way he doesnt sing "for now"- the ecco of it in your mind really triggers the whole essence of the song. simple beautiful and haunting. | |
