This song, from my understanding, is about a troubled relationship. The lady involved, is struggling with depression or it could be a drug issue as well. "And you can touch me there Just don’t leave me alone And you can call me softly When I dream and ask for more You can slow and fold and mold my mind " seems to say, I'm yours in every way, if you'll let it be so. I'll be/do anything for you if it will help you. "And he stares Like he doesn’t see He must be scared And far too lost " This part of the song is very powerful and it hits me pretty hard. Caring about someone and feeling like there isn't anything that can be done to help them when they need it, is a terrible terrible feeling. "And you can take me back But you must be alone" Her depression/drug problem is too much for her to handle and it's effecting him just as much. They're both in a maddening cloud hehe. |
