| Hahaha. Sorry, one more thing. When she says, "Who we are now we will always be/ The best haircuts are taken," I think she's being sarcastic again, using not having the "right" hair and looks because the good cuts are already taken as an excuse for why they aren't like the rest of the scene. I think it's really witty and funny. | |

Oh, and I forgot to say that I'm not sure what she means by "Give my face to the back of your head." And I also forgot to say that I think that throughout the rest of the song she is being sarcastic and criticizing today's music scene. But that's just me. |

| I agree with contusion, but I also think when she says, "But you and I have been through that and that is not our fate/ Give my face to the back of your head/ loyal in your shadow/ yeah yeah yeah/ broken accidental stars," she is saying how she and her friends (and previous projects) are loyal to who they are as musicians, and it will never be their fates to be blonde, mainstream dolls. And she feels this way even though they've been tempted by having "seen some success." She compares that "success" of getting into the parties and having publicity to a Camaro. She's saying she's been tempted to dress flashy and buy expensive things to show off and be noticed, but instead she has stayed true to who she is, and she won't sell out like so many others have. | |

| Personally, I think this song is about her trying to get over someone, even though she is still in love with him. At first it was a mutual break up, but she realizes that she still loves and needs him. When they broke up, they both were expecting a burden to be lifted off of their shoulders and to be free, but they both are miserable without eachother. At least, that's what I got out of it... but of course that might be because that is exactly what is happening in my life at the moment. | |
