I dont understand how someone could NOT like this song! I'm shocked, because I LOVE it, I've listened to it so many times, I don't know what it is that makes it so perfect... Conor's breathing in this song is stunning. It makes my heart stop, my brain gets tangled and I just dissappear from the world. I can't even describe it, I love this song so much. |

Well I'm not sure if it's the proper version, I have a live version, and he screws up at "Still can't keep his brazen nose from turning" and forgets the next line, (try and find that version if you can, Conor is to DIE for when he messes up there) He starts saying "Sorry, theres a lot of words to this song" and tries again. Then when he still cant get it he says like " and-aw-ah fuck. sorry! sorry wait, wait. I wanna finish this one. I-I'm gonna finish this one." and then he gets the next line and continues. I DIED when I heard it I couldnt breathe. this song is great, and I love the songs they choose to cover, it always ends up sounding amazing. |

This is a truly amazing song, I can't even begin to describe. I love the entire song, every lyric is perfect. As always, with Conor Oberst, my personal God. has anyone noticed (and I could be wrong) that this is the happiest bright eyes song? It was the first I'd ever heard. I listened to it so many times I swear I thought it would break my computer. It means a hell of a lot to me, and it reminds me of how much Conor has changed my life, has SAVED my life time and time again. |

CONOR IS [my] GOD. but I wont get into that here. this song, every line, every word, every sound, EVERYTHING about it is absolutely CRUSHING to me. I've never heard any other song that I could relate to any better. This song is perfect beyond what words can explain. To me, it's my life story. Honestly, whatever he's singing about, it doesnt matter too much to me; what matters to me is how I interpret it for myself, which is really the point, isnt it? and yes, he does sing "it makes my stomach hurt so bad, i cried" |
