Thrice – For Miles Lyrics 18 years ago
I've been listening to Thrice since The Illusion of Safety and they've come such a long way. Vheissu is a beautiful album.

For Miles is an amazing song about letting go of the past but not forgetting it, helping others move forward and letting others help us. One of my favorites.

Thrice – Red Sky Lyrics 18 years ago
Beautiful lyrics. Great vocals and instrumental. I'm really proud of Thrice on this one.

As for the meaning of the lyrics, I'd have to say the song is vague and open to interpretation. I wouldn't try to get a literal meaning. I think it's about feeling something powerful about to overtake you, like this ship about to face a horrible storm.

"Know tonight we'll make our bed
At the bottom of the sea."

They know they're bound to sink.

"And soon the sea shall give up her dead
We'll raise an empire from the bottom of the sea"

But they also know in the end, they'll rise, and they'll be okay.

Superchick – Stand In The Rain Lyrics 18 years ago
Someone recommended this song to me. I thought it would be corny and cliche, and it is a little. But, it is honestly very powerful. I admit it did help me, and it still does. I don't know much about the band but this is a great song about holding on and not giving up during hard times.

Straylight Run – It Never Gets Easier Lyrics 18 years ago
I love this song. It's about often being in a situation of always having to say the right thing and never being able to say what you really need to. The frustration is expressed well in this song.

Straylight Run – With God on Our Side Lyrics 18 years ago
I actually like this song. Straylight Run is an amazing band.

I've never heard the original but the lyrics are powerful, and they do a great job of giving it that haunting sound.

Manic Street Preachers – You're Tender And You're Tired Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about being in pain and no one really understands. 'It's not trivial like they think.'

It's about not really knowing what to do. Deep in depression, you can't choose life or death.

I know the feeling. I love this song.

Lifehouse – Sky Is Falling Lyrics 18 years ago
I agree with some of the posts about the song referring to people and life in general.

I think though, it might be about someone who's struggling with a major problem on their own. Their 'sky is falling' and no one realizes what they're going through.
