I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this song isn't purely about happy-go-lucky sex. Different parts of the song make the guy in the relationship seem depressed. -Eyes for striking::: Self-explainable. She strikes him down with her eyes. -Now I'm twisted up when I'm twisted with you... And time trickles down and I'm breathing for two::: He's very invested in the relationship, but he's having to "breath" for two since she doesn't quite feel the same. -What makes the one to shake you down?::: What does he have to do to be the guy she'll accept (not necessary shake down as in sex). -Say now you want to shake me too::: The sexual parts of the song are just his dreams. He wishes she would say those words to him now. Other parts are part of his fantasy as well. Of course this could possibly just be about sex, but it could be interpruted to have another meaning, which I have just shared. |
