Well the lyrics are wrong, I don't even know why this was allowed. Obviously this song is about an impossible love. The guy (or girl) that's hard to get over. Not just hard, but nearing impossible. They obviously had something really great, didn't work out, and now she's reflecting on exactly what it was, and he'll always have a section of her heart. |

I think this song has something to do with a girl and a guy both getting over lost love. Maybe she has been getting over it longer than him? He's seeking comfort anywhere he might find it.. he knows that they aren't what each other need or want but they are there for each other so maybe it feels right. He knows that his broken heart is meaningless is a world filled with so much hurt and pain and if they can keep going on, he should be able to as well? It kind of throws me for a loop in the middle when it just starts talking about the war. |

I've been part of a "rootless tree" relationship. I am the bitch he talks about in this song. I do believe, just like everyone else, that this is about a guy trying to get over a girl/relationship he had with a girl. Damien clearly states "it's nothing to you" and that is obviously the line that made me think, he's crazy about her, but she can go on without him and he's finally realized that. Then he says "then hate me so good that you can let me out let me out of this hell when you're around" again, she's around and its pure torture to be around her. It's just a song about a relationship that needs to be ended, and he's finally realizing that. He knows it's time to move on, he's just having a hard time doing it. The "fuck you's" are perfect for a relationship song like this. |

| I've always thought this song is exactly like a girl. This is what a girl thinks, exactly. I mean girls can't say when they like someone they don't ride by their house or act weird. It also, IMO, is about someone she shouldn't like. Maybe they are just good friend, since she only says "goodnight" and then they go. She obviously believes they should be more and that's probably why she stalks him a little. It's a fanatasy of being with him, even though she shouldn't because he's a good friend.. | |
