This interpretation will not be understood by most people under 30 or so. This song, to me, is extremely insulting to the stupidity of today's youth IN SUCH as they view their lives as being so "new" and "special" and "private" and "something" that we (the past generations) "just cannot comprehend". Give me a break. We were doing drugs in the seventies that put your bathtub-made synthetic bullsh*t to shame. We INVENTED rock babies. Nowadays you're just a bunch of pussy emo's with your "sad and lonely" crap. And your little "secretive" cell phone text messaging, LMAO. GIVE ME A BREAK. We were doing WORSE before you were a BAD IDEA. Everything's been said before!! SEX SEX SEX?? Oh wow, we NEVER HEARD OF THAT!! as i understand it, Terry, the first singer, (RIP) had seen an interview on television with a college student and wrote down the conversation between he and this tv interviewer. after the interview they changed over to an anti-war rally where they were chanting "we can make it happen" etc.......for those of you who do not know, terry, one of the biggest parts of this band was tragically killed when a 9mm that he was cleaning discharged and went right thru his temple because he thought it was not loaded. it happened in 1978 at the home of one of the head 'roadies'.....it was very very sad......... |
