It's a pretty straightforeward song, actually. He's pondering to himself about the most likely outcome if he was to admit his feelings for some girl, who obviously doesn't think very much of him. Could be interpreted in a different way though. |

I don't know about anyone else, but when I first heard this song it was while watching the video. I love how the things exploded. There's a difference between "love" and "like", as there is between "hate" and "dislike", which is the point of the song: he's showing he doesn't wish to say he hates her because the word "hate" was ugly to him, but in the end, that feeling of dislike is still there, no matter which euphemisms he uses. As for the rest of the lyrics; he obviously meant those words when he wished to express his emotions through this song; those words were strong and simple, and got the story behind them ... I really have nothing against them. Even though they are kind of crummy. |
