Dispatch – Flying Horses Lyrics 17 years ago
There is no doubt that the Flying Horses is a carousel in Mass. However, I interpret the song as a loss of life. The beautiful stone, to me, is a symbol of a baby, or innocence. Then, the baby, along with the lover of his life, both grow older and are no longer apart of his life; innocence is gone. "I told you so...," is what the badger and one-eyed toad would say.

Toadies – Possum Kingdom Lyrics 17 years ago
Possum Kingdom State Park Texas. The band was quoted elaborating on a rape that was witnessed at Possum Kingdom Lake. Plus, the band is from Fort Worth. Coincidence? Don't read too much into the vampire hocus pocus.

Robert Palmer – Addicted To Love Lyrics 17 years ago
Evin....Good point. Could also be cocaine. "You can't sleep, you can't eat....You heart beats in double time." Could also change "Love" to "Coke" and "Kiss" to "Sniff."

The Beach Boys – Good Vibrations Lyrics 17 years ago
Ahhh. The magical act of courting a woman and what it feels like to be in love. Plus, once you fall in love and start making love (this is the part of the song that breaks down towards the end beginning with the line..."Gotta keep those lovin' good vibrations a happenin' with her") you will always have, or....er, make good vibrations!

Jackson Browne – Rosie Lyrics 17 years ago
Masturbation....no question. Cute, your wrong. If you read the lyrics correctly, the drummer 'swept that girl away.' So what did he do??? Yeah, you know. Remember - "it's who you look like, not who you are."

Bob Dylan – A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall Lyrics 17 years ago
I completely agree with Ibsman. Although this song has many interpretations, I do believe God is talking in the narrative sense to his 'blue-eyed son', Jesus. Whether or not the blue-eyed son is Jesus, he is there to report the curses of the world in the prophetic sense. "The roar of a wave that could drown the whole world." - Katrina? Wow!

Other verses do not necessarily pinpoint prophecy. For instance, "I heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley", is Dylan's vivid use of imagery, here explaining even though a clown is funny, he is only a man and may hurt inside. Terrific song...and ARTIST..to truly dissect.
