I think you're an ignorant undereducated prick that needs to learn that a person's opinion might possibly be better than yours. By the way, I think this song is about how life is full of good and bad, and that you need to learn to cope with that. Life is light and dark, good and bad. You go through the dark times knowing there will be light, but go throught the light times knowing that darkness is there too. Sounds a lot more intelligent when a person doesn't feel the need to call everyone fags to feel good doesn't it? |

Hey I know It's been a while since this post was put here, but any normal person in that position would have dumped his ass yes, but any normal person also would not have written a song about it. Things like that should be kept between them. And yeah, maybe it is a stab at revenge, but it's a good song nonetheless. I don't know about you, but if someone wrote a song like that about me, I'd sure as hell fire one back too. |

i think it's a call to arms of sorts for people to be their own one man army. he doesnt want to remember the lies; kind of makes me believe that at one point in time he was just a sheep like everyone else... now he just wants to be himself. regardless of meaning tho, this is an excellent song |

Okay, first of all AblinkVboxA, i can understand every word to smells like teen spirit and come as you are, so you wasted your time. And im not trying to argue here, but the evidence in Kurt's death points towards suicide. Now, seeing as this is supposed to be about lyrics, doesn't it make sense that a song called Come as You Are is about being yourself and not who people want you to be. I think he's saying that the people who go against society's take on "normal" and act like their own person are the ones who deserve respect, not all these fake people who try to fit in. |
