and that should explain the first verse his heart is with his wife at home on the bedside table where his wife is every night. Also this is defiantly my favorite song on this album. |

I think you guys almost had it on the song. I think he is talking about his wife. He misses her when he's away. He's talked about this before when he's on tours and stuff. He misses his home the smell of the sea and his wife. "I've grown feeble and tired of the world, and tired of constantly missing my girl. And I long to smell the sea" but towards the end he realize that as much as he misses his earthly relationship with his wife his heavenly realtionship is greater than that even. 'Cause every time I'm close to the holy ghost, I always seem to let her go." The message we can draw from here is that our relationship with God should be first priority in our lives. Once we can find satisfaction in God then we can seek to share that with someone else in a earthly relationship. THis is why divorce is such a problem, you see people feeling an emptyness in them and the think that a relationship with someone can fill that. But when they get married the realize that as great as it is, it's not good enough. We need to find completement in God first. |

| What about the witchcraft angle? Why does he say starcorssed grave? I believe that a crossed star is a wickan symbol, the witches religion. And then he mentions the planet align, which sounds like something in astrology which is practiced by witches. Perhaps these two thought about witches is more than mere coincidence. He might be talking about the occults and evil religions we get ourselves into our killing us. Which is absolutly true. When someone gets into a religion he is blinded by it and given a false sense our safety, when in fact he is still a sinner and head for hell and the eternal death. This could be how we are killing ourselves. Whether or not it's what the song meant, the idea remains true. REligion and cults blind us from what we need to know, that simple faith in Jesus work on the cross can give us eternal life and a place in heaven. Jesus paid for our sin! We just need to accept his gift and stop killing ourselves with falsehoods! | |

| Hans leopard pretty much hit it on the dot. In reponse to what he says aboutthe band themselves I would have to say that because they "keep it general enough so that anyone, even people outside the Christian faith, can relate to their songs and messages." It is this very thing that makes them flawed. IF they don't let the listener know what it is they are trying to say then they can never real make a difference. Especially in the spiritual sense. I believe that these guys are Christians whether they call themselves a Christian band or not, but if they are then they are failing in their job to bring others to Christ. There are millions of people out there destined for Hell and eternal torture in the lake of fire and if these guys have the key to save themselves and others how can they honestly stand there and keep their messages vague. I think this band needs to be alot more clear in share the Gospel, the Jesus Died for our sins was buried and rose again. They need to tell people that simple faith in what Jesus did can save them from eternal death! What a message! This is what the band should be dealing with! | |

I have to wonder about that interpretation... It sounds right up until the second verse. "Cause I am lost for words, the cost for her Was way to much to bear You're not perfect, but I don't care" Certainly he isn't talking about God right here. Because God is perfect, and how would he go about calling God "her"? |
