quiffporn : not all Death Metal bands songs are about gore/death/other morbid shit. i think yuo would probably be a fan of Progressive Death Metal; i'd recommend give these bands listen; Opeth, Gojira, Cynic, Katatonia, and Death (their Symbolic, and The Sound of Perseverance albums). as for the meaning of the song? i have no idea lol. if i know mroe about Egyptology i would probably know, but i looked up who Unas was, and he was a ruler of Egypt around 2375 BC. so i'm just making a guess (judging by the title) that this Unas guy was a tyrant, and he thought he was above the gods, or he could "slay" the gods; hence the name Unas: Slayer of the Gods. |
