You damn teenagers find any excuse to interpret a song as self destruction. Just check out all these interpretations! you guys are idiots! This song is about Frank Black seeing for the FIRST time his largest audience of fans but they were all FUCKED UP! this song is a realization of not only what he was capable of doing but its als a hard goodbye to all the self destruction saying "cease to resist, giving my goodbye" and talking about all the destruction AND beauty he's lived "rode the el nino, walked on sand with crustaceans" he did to himself " admiration for his (self-mutilating) fans (you guys)... You guys try to interpret this as a negative song of being exiled, drug abuse, and even suicide?! When he's really talking about his accomplishments in life...
