I kinda feel on the same line as everyone else, but a little bit differently. I think the first line "I know you think that I shouldn't still love you or tell you that, but if i didn't say it then i'd still have felt it, where's the sense in that? I'm not trying to make your life harder or return to where we were" is more about two people who broke up, but the guy is with someone else now, and perhaps the girl still tells him she loves him even though he has a girlfriend, which would lead to "i know i left too much mess and destruction to come back again", because he got really mad about it, causing problems with his new girlfriend. When she says, "if you live by the rules of 'its over' then i guess that that makes sense", its like.. they both know there's a small inkling of hope that they could find one another again and be together because both their hearts are in it. I don't know,. i just love it :) |
