i think the line about cursing the boundaries of language is amazing. i don't think it is just about what it would be like to be in a foreign country, it's about the boundaries of language even between people who speak the same language, because of the fact that everyone can perceieve things so differently and we can never be sure of whether others are perceiving things in the same way as we are. |

this is so interesting. it kinda reminds me of stuff from "heart of darkness" by joseph conrad, but in the opposite way. that book explores like all this realy deep stuff about human nature and the core of our souls and stuff, wat humans are realy like wen everything trivial and constructed is stripped back...and its kinda depressing, like everyone is ultimately greedy and savage. but this song kinda does the same thing but implies the opposite message? like people are faced with death and manage to display humanity and optimism and selflessness... |

sellout? that is the stupidest thing i have EVER heard. well not actualy, but the thing is, your sooo missing the point of blink 182 if youd say that, the most amazing thing about them is that they dont take themselves too seriously. so like who cares, dont be pretentious. THEY ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITIST BAND EVER OF ALL TIME! |
