I have a hard time reading these 'lyrics' without busting a gut. If there ever was an example of 'let it be' regarding the Cocteau's, this is it. Yes, it's very likely she sings the word 'pompadour', but Liz' thing was about texture for this album--she made the music incredibly special but let it do the talking also. |

Liz (Fraser, vocalist) often references nature in earlier songs. However, it's almost impossible to get an 'official' lyric from the Cocteaus; 8/10ths or so of what you read online seems incorrect, and alot of times just plain stoopid. Anyways, I kinda *thought* the song ended with her singing "mother electric"...wonder if mama got zapped by the bug light? |

After a bunch of listens, I got a weird stalker vibe from the protagonist..hmmm...maybe focusing on a nunnery in the neighborhood? I like the fact that it's a beautiful song with a slightly menacing vibe. |
