Absolutely love this song, its on my short list of songs i can lose myself in. I rate it up there with zeppelin's "Tea For One". As for the song's meaning, I think the lyrics are pretty self explanatory. |

I don't see how this song could possibly be about suicide. That being said, i believe the basic gist is, "life is real, you only get one, live it to the fullest", ya know, don't hesitate, etc etc. |

Davesnothere and Schfifty both have it right. Humanity has a lot of social masks that we portray to people, he is saying to his partner that he wants to see her stripped of all of her societally driven masks, he wants her to be the person she truly is. I mean obviously to each their own, but i feel thats what he was talking about. There is too much underlying meaning in the lyrics for it to just be a simple song of lust and primal urge. |

I've been on this weird Depeche Mode kick for the last 3 weeks or so. That and nueroticfish. Either way, this is a great song. I think the lyrics tell the meaning pretty well, but for me its one of those songs that kind of speaks to how when you get to know your bf/gf better, you start kind of just wanting to have things back like before, when you didnt know they were lying, i.e. it was simpler. |

| This really is a great song, like most i was introduced to it at the club, but after picking up Spectators and Casting Shadows i seldom find myself listening to it. I think this song was always pretty self explanatory in its meaning. Now i've never done heroin, so i can't speak from experience, but i imagine it likely is speaking from the point of "once you've spent your life high on heroin, everything else seems pointless when you're not high". But, like someone else said, in depth exam not really neccesary ;-). | |

| Christ, can't believe there is only one comment on this song. I absolutely love it. Probably my favorite song off of Casting Shadows. I know the song is mainly about getting lost in the music whilst dancing at a club, but i mainly attribute it to just getting lost in the music, whatever you happen to be doing. | |

| Odd, at the Snocore tour, i wanna say 2006, Lacey actually prefaced this song as being about a girl in texas who was asked if she believed in god, when she said yes the person shot her. I believe the obvious assumption is if she said no he wouldnt have killed her. Regardless, just thought i'd put that in. | |

This is one of those songs that you never really heard of the radio, one of those songs that makes you realize what a great band is. When you can sit and listen to an album from start to finish and never want to change the song, its a good thing. This song in particular i love. Like another said, its a good (and bad, depending on the situation) song to remind you of that special someone, that person you just want to hold, that you want to experience life with. How content one can be in the arms of another. It's amazing how unimportant other things become. |

So am i the only person who feels this song is specifically about a whorehouse? I mean really sit and listen to it. "I was thinking to myself, this could be heaven or this could be hell", moving on, "How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat. Some dance to remember, some dance to forget" , "They stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast...", "They livin' it up at the Hotel California What a nice surprise, bring your alibis " I mean come on, mirrors on the ceiling, champagne on ice.
