| Jack Johnson – What You Thought You Need Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Surprisingly, you have the incorrect lyrics...again! I think you should just stop trying. FROM THE BOOKLET: Well I can't give you everything you want But I could give you what you thought you need A map to keep beneath your seat You'll read to me in time I'll get you there But fold it up so we don't find Our way back soon nobody knows we're here We can park the van and walk to town Find the cheapest bottle of wine that we could find And talk about the road behind How getting lost is not a waste of time Le Bois d' amour will take us home In the moment we will sing as the forest sings It's all for the sake of arriving with you Well I will make the table into a bed The candle is burning down it's time to rest I can't take back things already gone But I could give you promises for keeps And I would only take them back If they become your own and you give them to me And it's all for the sake of arriving with you Well it's all for the sake of arriving with you We could make this into anything We could make this into more than words we speak This could make us into anything It could make us grow and become what we'll be How will we really know? It's just like it feels |

| Jack Johnson – Same Girl Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Again, I'll post the lyrics FROM THE BOOKLET: If you could read my mind You'd say "Baby you were right And I don't want to fight anymore" You're usually righter than I am And I'm not a very good fighter Am I? No neither are you So let's be through with this one Because some things never change I know you're still my same girl Who builds her own frames For the pictures that she paints Of the lights in Monterey Coming across the bay Right back to my same girl How can you be so calm When the truth is that sometimes We lie in the eye of the storm With everything going on around us I feel comfor in the sounds when you say It will be okay Like a star guiding me To the light of the day The doldrums could follow me But not with my same girl Who builds her own frames For the pictures that she paints Of the lights in Monterey Coming across the bay Right back to my same girl |

| Jack Johnson – Enemy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
How about both of y'all have the incorrect lyrics. These are the lyrics FROM THE BOOKLET: After we spoke I had a dream that I broke The teeth from a mouth of a snake Then I choked on the teeth they were mine all along I picked up the pieces when I woke I put them in a boat made of things that I don’t want to see I blew on the sail watched it drift out to sea The further it drifted the closer it came to me I can’t explain So I took it apart built a billion boxes But there was only one key You might think I’m your enemy But that don’t make you mine And all I have now is empathy I wish that you’d stop trying Please stop lying I put hatred in a box then I locked it The strongest one I made I buried it all grew a tree without thorns And sat beneath its shade You might think I’m your enemy But that don’t make you mine And all I have now is empathy I wish that you’d stop trying Please stop lying ---------------------------------------------- But this is a great song and thanks itisshaggy for giving me info on what it's really about. |

| Robert Plant And Alison Krauss – Fortune Teller Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
These lyrics are missing the final verse: Went to the fortune teller Had my fortune read I didn't know what to tell her I had a dizzy feeling in my head Then she took a look at my palm She said son you feel kind of warm She looked into her crystal ball And said you're in love How could that be so I though of all the girls I know She said when the next one arrives You'll be looking into her eyes. I left there in a hurry Looking forward to my big surprise The next thing I discovered The fortune teller told me a lie I hurried back down to that woman As mad as I could be I said I didn't see nobody Why had she made a fool out of me Then something struck me As if it came from up above While looking at the fortune teller I fell in love Now I'm a happy fellow 'Cause I'm married to the fortune teller I'm happy as we can be Now I get my fortune told for free |

| The Clash – Lover's Rock Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think people are looking to far into the "she forgot that thing she had to swallow" line. i mean, if it's about oral sex, there's really one possibility. | |
| Maroon 5 – Kiwi Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| yeah, chris, i was thinking the same thing about "don't stop til you get enough", especially with adam's falsetto voice during the last stanza. and it does sound very 80s-ish. great song, one of the best on the CD. | |
