i think this means something different to me.. i think that actually the guy has hurt her... he "left her cold" and now she is slowly getting over him "warming in the sun" he regrets his hurt he caused her, and he sees her moving on, seeing the "golden light".. he cant take his eyes off of her because he wants her back. he is "no longer welcome" because he has hurt her and it is "not his place" to try he gave her an "open door" to welcome her back into his life but it "swings too lightly" which can possibly mean it is not enough to patch up what has happened he thinks about their memories nightly.. just my take |
