actually, EA stated in an interview that this song has nothing to do with Hamlet. Hope that helps. |

this song was written as a duet with Morrissey, EA wanted it to be the last track on "Opheliac," This song is sooo beautiful, it's my favorite anti-love song. I wish there was a studio version, but the demo is wonderful either way |

sunoXcore is right, this song is in reference to Hamlet's Ophelia. An Opheliac is "someone who has delved into madness." EA also said that an Opehliac is a girl who is left devastated by the men that control her. And even then counties to allow that control. Or something like that. |

This song is narrated by two people in a relationship. One is telling the other how devoted they are to them, and the other is calling them a liar. I think EA mentioned that this song was for any girl who has been lied. |

Well I found this on lollipop.com
Interviewer: I think about a song like "Endomorph" (on Thanks for the Ether) where you've got bloody fingerprints, and you've got ideas of killing...
Melora Creager: It doesn't mean that to me. I just think words like endomorph and ectomorph are such weird words, and the "bloody," I just throw that in there. To me, they're like many isolated ideas strung together. So I don't get the overall view that somebody else might because they're all true things that mean something to me. |
