to me this song is about a guy who is in a relationship with a girl who is in love with someone else...maybe? (every time you close your eyes you SHOULD be seeing ME) he realizes that she'll never want him as much as he wants her so he decides the best thing to do is to just let it go and move on. but of course that is easier said than done.
helpless isn't the right word but it's the first that comes to mind, there's worse things than being unknown I think in time I'll get by...best line in the song!!!!!! |

ok first of all, this is an amazing song and I love atreyu, their music and lyrics are just absolutely beautiful. And I completely agree with dying inside about the meaning. every time someone puts me down, I feel like blasting this song in their face. :) |

Ok, so I have pretty much lived this song.
I think that it is about a guy is so in love with this girl, but she is afraid to love him back because she has been hurt in the past and doesn't want to get hurt again. What she doesn't realize is that he too has been hurt and he is trying to tell her that he would never hurt her, all she has to do is trust him.

Avenged Sevenfold and I immediatly fell in love with them. M. Shadows has an amazing voice and it shows in this song with the way he easily goes from singing to screaming! |
