Sublime – Date Rape Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Sublime kicks ass!! This is one of their best songs. I think Panic at the disco(lame ass emo band) got their style from this song. |

Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Led Zeppelin is defenitely the most influential heavy rock band. I'm not sure if this song relates to the Shire in the Lord of the Rings although there are some references in "Ramble On" and Misty Mountain Hop" This is one of Led Zeppelin best songs but not the the best, it is a little overrated, still awesome though. In my opinion these are the greatest guitar solos of all time:1.Time by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd 2.Stairway to Heaven by Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin 3.Hotel California By Joe Walsh of The Eagles 4.Eruption by Eddie Van Halen of Van Halen 5.Freebird by Allen collins of Lynyrd Skynyrd Every band member in Led Zeppelin is on my most talented top 5 lists for their category. ROCK VOCALIST: 1.Freddie Mercury(Queen) 2.Robert Plant(Led Zeppelin) 3.Geddy Lee(Rush) 4.Lou Gramm(Foreigner) 5.Chris Cornell(Soundgarden,Audioslave) ROCK GUITARIST: 1.Eddie Van Halen(Van Halen) 2.Jimi Hendrix(Jimi Hendrix Experience) 3.Jimmy Page(Led Zeppelin) 4.David Gilmour(Pink Floyd) 5.Randy Rhoads(Ozzy) ROCK BASSIST: 1.John Paul Jones(Led Zeppelin) 2.Flea(Red Hot Chili Peppers) 3.Geezer Butler(Black Sabbath) 4.John Entwistle(The Who) 5.Cliff Lee Burton(Metallica) ROCK DRUMMER: 1.Neil Peart(Rush) 2.Mickael Schrieve(Santana) 3.John Bonham(Led Zeppelin) 4.Tommy Aldridge(Ozzy) 5.Keith Moon(The Who) |
Led Zeppelin – Fool in the Rain Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is probably my favorite Led Zeppelin song. I love the Page solo and Bonham's drumming is amazing. You can listen to the drums by them self at drummerworld.com, search john bonham then play fool in the rain "drums only". |
Led Zeppelin – Dazed and Confused Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Led Zeppelin is the defenitely the most influential heavy rock band of all time. For those of you who are wondering Zeppelin did not steal the song from the Yardbirds, htye basically became Led Zeppelin with Page and Plant. That's why some of the old band members created The New Yardbirds. I agree with rockerscott on the whole band shirts mainstream thing. I wear them and I fuckin' hate those kids in school who wear them and dont know the band members, songs, albums, or their history. I think that this was their first great song off of their first album, the song played a large part in bringing them into the limelight. I love to blast this song at 1000 watts in 5.1, its amazing. |
Led Zeppelin – All My Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i really interested in the analogy by Lionkay, i plan on ckecking that out. Anyway, this is one of the best Zeppelin songs, In Through the Out Door was a great album, too bad it was their last. And according to someone on the first page they said the band was winding down because of Plant's son, Karac and his death. This is not true the band stopped playing because of John Bonham's(R.I.P.) untimely passing. Plant, Page, and Jones decide that they rather not go on playing without their friend and bandmate. |
Van Halen – Eruption Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Eddie wasn't one of the most influential guitarists but he was definitely the best riffer and the fastest player! |
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Dani California Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song will become a ‘classic’ in the future…I guarantee it! I don’t like that they’ve gone kind of mainstream or the whole pop scene thing, they did start in the 80‘s and they were good, they‘re not some new band. This is just like what happened to Green Day, instead of Stadium Arcadium it was American Idiot because they were around in the 90’s I’ve liked RHCP since I was a little kid. I believe that they are not making a parody of these bands but showing how styles in rock changed over time…in case your wondering they go in order of time. This is my compilation of who I think the bands they are portraying are…98% sure. 1.Elvis, look at Anthony Keidis’ legs 2.The Beatles from their debut on Ed Sullivan mixed with Buddy Holly 3.It’s Hendrix, but the mustache makes him look like Prince 4.Parliament-Funkadelic…no doubt 5.Culture Club, look at the top hat (signature Boy George) 6.Rolling Stones, look at John Frusciante…he looks so much Keith Richards 7.The Misfits from the 80’s 8.This is a mix of Poison with all white/blonde hair and Aerosmith (signature scarf on mic) 9.Nirvana, Anthony Keidis looks exactly like Kurt Cobain 10.I will kill anyone that says this is some other band besides RHCP, look at the logo |
