wexenhex, that's because it's spelled consternation, and it means "a sudden, alarming amazement or dread that results in utter confusion; dismay"
But yeah, this songs about two groups that are at ends even though they're basically the same, whether it be about the Crips and Bloods, two warring nations, or hell, two groups of friends in high school. These groups, although at their core are the same, feel the need to battle just for sake of conflict. |

It's about someone who's discontented with his/her life (the city) but to get to where he/she wants to be they take some sort of gamble that could result in death, shown through a Frogger metaphor. Poor for BR in my opinion, kinda obvious that Hetson wrote it. |

The newspaper headlines always made the most sense to me. Like, the first couple of verses (They fed my children to the lions/they made me watch it on the television, etc.) seemed to me like the narrator was the victim in these headlines and was forced to relive them by watching the news or picking up a newspaper. The last couple of verses (the priest and whatnot) are the narrator seeing these headlines from the POV of the public and with his past experience of how much that sucks to have your personal tragedies flaunted around for all to see he pities the priest and the girl. Granted that doesn't cover everything in the song so that probably isn't what the Blood Brothers were trying to convey but that's what I got out of it. |

A little while back someone asked about the time between the crash and the main character leaving Jane and how it seems that there should be a bigger lapse in time between those events, well, I think there actually is but it isn't stated. Because he may have/probably sustained some significant brain damage and can only remember certain things and has forgotten many less-important details ("you didn't know your name"). Perhaps he just can't remember any events between his leaving Jane/hooking up with superficial fake bitch and the crash. I don't know, that's just my take on it. |
