| I love the guitar in this song. It's as if he's intended the song not to be thought about too much, just to be appreciated as it is and adapted however one wishes hence the simplicity of the lyrics. I really like it :) | |

I personally think this used to be like the sweetest little song ever, for agesss, a wee personal song for people who appreciated good music and sweet lyrics - then it got on the radio and I hear people singing it on the bus/in science class/in the toilet cubicle next to me :( I don't mean to be so 'damn-mainstream music' but damn! I just think it's just too good a song to be under-appreciated... |

Such a nice wee song. I think it could be about a guy and a girl starting things up again, 'What I miss everyday since our goodbye, was enough for me to realize' - they broke up but he since realised that he never really got over her. 'the night brought sparks, and the sparks brought flames' - they now both realise that they still like each other alot. The only thing holding them back is the thought of getting hurt again, 'you had to be sure, this wasn't one of those games.' - she doesn't want to get messed up again and he's scared of hurting her. 'I'm gonna show you, if you could just give me tonight' - he is determined to show her that he is serious about them now which is maybe what she wanted in the first place. I also get out of it that he see's this as too-good-to-be-true so he's waiting for the 'breakdown' Not quite sure what the 'nothing feels good, being under the gun' really means tbh if anyone would care to elaborate... |
