It does feel like lost youth; or trying to recapture something that cannot be found again. Quite mourning and a little sad although you dont get that feeling The repetition may signify the regret 'I'm trying but we're all falling out,' may signify old friends growing up and friendships failing All the same, it's a fantastic song :) |

Some phrases were shot, pretty roses got tossed The gift of a fat-lipped grin Now they're drilling my teeth while I'm soiling sheets I think this is literal, things got violent with the person she was having sex with then she had to get her teeth sorted out ... In all I believe the story is just a series of unfortunate incidents that the singer is told from a young age "it just happens" by the end I think she accepts it I dont know but thats my interpretation and even though its quite bleak it still cheers me up for no reason :) |

The girl is Jill Scott if anyone wants to hear some of her other stuff, she's got a nice voice indeed fabulous song as well, brilliant rap mixed with the original song. Very well done, although I wasn't too keen on the video... I liked the I Monster one more with the dolls |

Such a powerful little song sang by such a powerful voice. Haley is so small but her prescence is huge! Especially in this song. This video had me all scared when I first saw it, not that its not good, I love a good shocker but it's still bizzare. Reminds me of that film, Stigmata Great song all the same, love the vocals provided by Jamie! Also like the reference to Ko Phangan which is were the "Moon Festival" takes place. Oblivion is a state of forgetfulness, but it doesnt refer to that at all in the lyrics therefore I think he is referring to the great abyss that is life. When he looks carefully all he can see is himself, thats what life becomes though, you've got to keep yourself alive or else all thats left is Oblvion So he returns to the life he had with his children.
