It almost seems like it could be about some type of drug, with the drug referred to as 'she' in the song. Or maybe it's just about a woman, but that seems a little too literal. Either way, the banjo is awesome.

I don't know if it actually was about John, but John DID think it was about him. In the 1980 playboy interviews Lennon said, " I always heard it as a song to me." He basically said he thought it was Paul's way of telling him to go out and get her (Yoko) and leave him, even though Paul himself didn't want to lose John. John said, " I know I'm sounding like one of those fans who reads things into to it, but you can hear it as a song to me." I guess even Beatles themselves can interpret/misinterpret other Beatles' songs.
