I had not heard that, majetikmoose9. It's very interesting. "Fear of I Zimbra" doesn't make a great deal of sense, but most of the others certainly do. Most of the album's lyrics do convey a sense of fear or paranoia.

I looked it up, "the street called straight" is mentioned in Acts 9:11. The whole song might be a reference to that, but I wouldn't know, not being a real fan of the bible. The verse number does seem conspicuous, though...

This song is hard to interpret, but it seems sort of like someone has been slowly driven insane. The second verse baffles me, but the third sounds sort of like a list of symptoms, or things that could trigger a change in someone. In some ways, the song reminds me of the book Breakfast of Champions.

The part about the sun, coupled with "they can tell what he wants to do" seem to point at galileo and the shift from geocentric to heliocentric ideas. The church believed that he was trying to corrupt christian ideals, etc. The subject of this song is likely not actually galileo, but there is a definite parallel drawn.
