I have been throughly listening to nothing but Modest Mouse for about 2 years now-and I am not sick of any of it. I overplay them everyday-and it just enlightens me everytime. I've been teaching myself to play the guitar for about 2 years-and having listened to nothing but Isaac Brock related material-thats how Ive learned to play. I learned this song just recently thanks to the grace of Guitar Pro. I always loved the song becuase the band makes it beautiful in its abstract suave style. So simple, yet the lyrics will have you dazed for eternity. The feeling and emotion that Modest Mouse instills in me-is so eery to me. They make me feel different than any drug or other band could. I am under hypnosis. |

The emotion in this song just puts me out. I got into Isaac a few years ago, and since then I've been in a trance. My whole mind set changed. I quit going to school, I changed jobs, and I changed my collegiate plans. I went to the Chicago concert last month. My girlfreind and I got to the door of the Auditorium and there was a hole in her purse. The tickets fell out and blew away in windy Chicago. We scrambled and went to Kinkos 5 minutes before it closed to reprint it. On the way back to the Auditorium, I looked up and saw 2 tour buses...with Isaac standing outside smoking a cigarette. I went up to him, shook his hand, said a few words. All he said was, "Nice to meet ya.", "I need a fuckin nap." and "Well, I'll see you all at the show." Isaac Brock has brought me out. |
