To me this song is about getting your hopes and dreams shattered. Like, having feelings for someone because you have a strong connection with them that no one else has, and then something just makes it all crumble and turn to hell, then all you are left with is Dead Memories about the times you had with this person that made you feel like you were worth something, then you end up never want to feel that way again because you know that all that will come out of it is pain. I reckon its talking about a lot of things. Pushing kids to be something they don't want. Or pushing them to stick up for themselves in violent ways. The Police bit says that the Police think that these kids are just a waste of space so they are really rough with them. Deer Dance is innocence. Deers are harmless creatures that just dance around. So Happiness and Innocence. The Invitation to peace=Negotiations. and the helmet stuff, civil war. the boy smiling is hope that everything will be OK |

OK. This is what I reckon the song means. "Life is a water fall we're one with the river and one again after the fall" One second we know what we are doing and what we want and then we dont and then we do again. The second bit about losing ourselvs meaning we are so busy looking for something better we forget about what we want. The next 2 bits might be about taking risks. You want to go and do stuff but when something goes wrong we dont want to be there anymore and when you stop focusing on the little things your life just springs to life. Aerials I think is meant to be like us getting ahead of ouselves. And to finish the last bit about waterfalls. This time it says something about drinking from the river then putting up walls. We ask and take from the world but then completly shut ourselvs out from it. lol probably thinking too deep about this but still thats what i think :-) |
