Another one of my favorites by The Faint! It sounds like he was waiting for a girl in the airport, trying to stay awake, but he fell asleep anyways and had a dream, the dream being "A hundred feet above the landing There's a girl gliding down She's floating toward me now Her sleeves are all stretching out And the jet is following behind Wake up" It's probably that simple... |

In addition: I saw the end of the MOVIE Hamlet today, which is word-for-word from the book. And they were on and near the stairs when Hamlet stabbed/poisoned Claudius. Ta-da! |

I was listening to this song all day today, I love it. It's really simple, but strong. It reminds me of this really sad but awesome move, Imaginary Heroes. I know it's not about the movie, and it doesn't fit perfectly. But basically this kid's older brother always beats him up (seriously, like not in a brotherly way), and then the older brother kills himself. The whole family, especially the brother, try and deal with it in different ways, and he tries everything. He does the whole sex, drugs, and alcohol thing. I don't know, I think that whole movie is about consequences like this song is. Maybe I'm an idiot. |

Okay, so I'm 90% sure I know what this is about. It is a specific part of Hamlet. Okami I think is right on track. It's about when Hamlet kills Polonius. Polonius was hiding in the curtain ("Beneath the outer layer, What once moved living organs, Leaks through a thin veneer"), and Hamlet stabs him (thinking it was the King, his uncle). Also, the King (Claudius) murdered Hamlet's father (the deceased King, Hamlet Sr.) and married his wife. "So selfish royal brother, You've loved your wife to death, Your ways could not continue..." The king tries to poison Hamlet, and instead the queen drinks it and dies. Then of course Hamlet forces the king to drink the poison as well... The only part I don't get are the last couple of lines. Anyways, I'm reading the book and watching the movie in English, so I'm pretty sure. |
