i disagree....i dont think it is jus about work....i think its about him being in a routine of life and this girl comes along whos different and jus lives for life(if that makes sense lol), she likes taking chances and this makes him think that maybe he shouldnt stick to this whole routine thing and kinda go against the rules but hes scared of breaking out hence the line "the only problem is i need to find the balls to follow through and thats the truth" cuz he sees himself as a prisoner of each day he lives in cuz he has to do the whole routine thing.....

i LOVE this song and i cant believe hardly anyones commented on it....the first time i heard this song was on the joseph technicolored dreamcoat show thingy and i wasnt even watching the programme but as soon as i heard him sing i stopped in my tracks and i was mesmerised....the song is so beautiful and has a realli powerful message and meatloaf sings it with such emotion....as he normalli does lol....no one could sing it better than he does |

I think the guy has lied bout somethin to his girlfriend and he wants to tell her the truth but he doesnt know if she will take him back "will she hold me if she if she knew my shame?" and all this other stuff keeps gettin in the way of their relationship, tjhings arent going right and i thinks hes thinkin maybe its going wrong because he lied and hes contemplating whether to tell her.........
And i think "your tears dont fall, they crash around me" shows his guilt that hes so aware of the way she feels and hes so scared of hurtin her....
