| Disturbed – Stricken Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| To me... I listened to this song when going through some tough stuff. Psycological trauma. To me, it seems like the narrator of the song is traumatized by an event and they keep replaying it over and over in their head and seeing their perpetrator's face... laughing. They have the nightmares. They have the flashbacks. They can't let it go.. it's like an infection on their mind. They can't move forward from the experience no matter how hard they try. | |

Listening to this song right now, and thinking... oh god, how I relate to this. I can only hope our roads do cross again. |

| Tori Amos – Body and Soul Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This is a very sexy song. All in all, it seems like it is beckoning someone to try a different set of beliefs instead of Christianity-beliefs that honor human sexuality when it is not being abused instead of sexuality being so tightly controlled. |

| Poe – Junkie Lyrics | 18 years ago |

It sounds like a dominate/submissive relationship type of song, or just really kinky sex. The part where she's going "Don't tell the captain, don't you tell him what I've done" could be part of a roleplay situation, like in this relationship, their roleplay was about a captain's wife having an affair? It's a trippy song. |

| Tori Amos – Dark Side of the Sun Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Does anyone else get an old-school Tori vibe from this song? The background vocals remind me of "Crucify". Anyway, this seems pretty straight-forward. It's not approving how so many people are dying for a cause that doesn't seem just anymore, or a cause that was never just in the first place. And all this dying has put them in a bad place, the "dark side of the sun." |

| Evanescence – Sweet Sacrifice Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
It almost appears to be a conversation between someone who was victimized, and the person that victimized them. The victim is saying "One day I'm gonna forget your name//one sweet day you're gonna drown in my lost pain" and such, whereas the perpetrator is saying "you poor sweet innocent thing dry your eyes and testify you know you live to break me- don't deny sweet sacrifice" almost like "Go ahead and tell people what happened, but I'll be back", and mocking the fact that they might still be innocent, or that their innocence was lost. |

| Tori Amos – Teenage Hustling Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song almost seems to be about Tori's views on what is happening to the music industry these days with all of these pop artists that sound ALL THE SAME ("You've been skanking around with your talentless trash") and how she's been around long enough to realize that this is happening. Think about it. "I've been workin' it since I'z fourteen"... Tori has been performing since she was around that age. | |
