this song is annoying, and i LOVE damien rice. the sound he makes in the back of his throat when he says "moody" the second time...ugh. obnoxious. he sounds like a damn owl. no wonder it has 2 comments. well 3 now. |

i agree with circus chyk. i listened to this song and felt the same way. i've dated someone and compared them to someone else before, just like in this song. "you can keep me pinned cause it's easier to tease, but you can't paint an elephant quite as good as she" i feel that he's pointing out that there's nothing wrong with this person in particular, and he in fact SHOULD be in love with them, but he can't get over someone he's loved before, so he must pick stupid little things to be wrong with his current "love." this is one of my favorite songs EVER, and in my opinion one of damien's best. he puts so much FEELING into EVERY SINGLE LYRIC that you'd be crazy not to feel something when you listen. |
