I think there's more to the break up in this song then they just broke up and it sucks. There are lines like "sunday school answer" and "repent yourself away"I think what happened was she was dating this guy and he broke up with her for religious reasons like, he became a christian and saw that this relationship was getting in the way of him and God so he broke it off. But she saw it as just an excuse and doesn't believe he's living a different life, and she hopes he hurts someone else like he did her.basically what everyone else is saying, i just think there was more to the break up. |

I think this song is talking about having someone in your life that you looked up to.Maybe a parent, a mentor, no matter what they were someone really important. Anyways, this person screwed up big time. like they tell you over and over again not to do something and then they fall and they do that thing they always told you not to and you come into the place of having to take care of them and be a crutch for them. And it's like, I looked up to you so much and look what you did and now you're just begging them to take it back cause it hurts that they fell off that pedastal. Maybe that person just backstabbed you and you never thought they'd hurt you like that. Does that make any sense? That's how I see it. I had a similar situation and this song is exactly how I felt. |
