I believe that Kurt Cobain had no real meaning to his lyrics. All was of understandng the lyrics are correct. MY personal oppinion is its about cancer. But not just childer with cancer, but about every human being on this planet. No matter how good you are in life, no matter how fair you are in life ect. you can still become severly ill. Even the most innocent person. There is no god deciding who has been bad an giving them cancer. He also describes the pain that cancer brings, the emotions. He dosnt exactly know from experience how it felt to have cancer, but this is how he understood it to feel like. |

The only way he can stop his addiction is to reclaim his soul, but it has been burriied deep down. Hes stuck, and obvioulsy he didnt "fly" out of this hole as he died of his addiciton. A lot of addicts dont like drugs i.e Stanley and Kurt Cobain. But when they start they can stop, its really sad. |

This is a really sad song about Billie`s father´s death. How part of him died when his father passed on. His father probably died in September as Punker girl said, and that he can`t cope with being awake during this period. The part of the lyrics where he sings about years passing so fast, i think he means that Time passes to fast, and before you know it someone has died or something. I think what he is trying to tell his fans in this song, is that we have to treassure the time we have with people, before its to late. |
