A lot of people seem to be leaning towards a relationship re-united, but I disagree. I hear the story of a young man who has been running around looking for a relationship to the point that he has given up. His love was lost, in the sense that he left it somewhere along the way. I picture it like a coat being left at bar, lost. The rest of the song heavily points to a man who not only has fallen in love, but knows what that means. Patience working through the other's emotional defenses, compassion knowing you're working to unlock someone's heart and comprise knowing its not all going to happen at once if at all. I love this song. It has a great understanding of what a relationship is. |

| This is the first Notwist song that I heard and is still one of my favorites. I don't think that it is a love song, not quite anyway. Though it probably is about his girlfriend, but it seems the main focus is on the "chemicals" or drugs that she is on and how it is hard to deal with. | |
