The first time I ever heard this song was when it was played in an episode of Everwood. The time they chose to use this song for the episode was absolutely perfect because I believe it explained the meaning of the song as well. When you're in a relationship with someone you want to believe that everything between you is completely perfect and flawless, like a fairytale you will have your happy ending together. This song is about realizing that everything is not perfect or flawless between the two in the relationship and that the fairytale relationship is just that; a fairytale. She's sad because of such a harsh realization but at the same time she has no trouble remembering whene everything seemed perfect, she'll always have those memories of before this fairytale relationship became a reality. |
