| Papa Roach – Hollywood Whore Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think this song is about attention whores in Hollywood, like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, etc. Actually, it definitely is. I had my friend listen to the song, and she recognized the last line "Don't let the door hit you where the good lord splits ya, honey!" as a Hannah Montana catchphrase... Jacoby says it a lot better. :) Anyways, that's my favorite part now. Cracks me up every time. | |

I see this song as being about, wait for it, a suicidal person. The first part of the song could either be referring to abuse of this person, or possibly self-harm. "Grab a brush and put on a little make-up" could mean that the person is trying to make themselves look like nothing is wrong, and to "hide the scars". Then the person has to "create another fable" to cover up that they're hurting. They look to God to help them, but instead of healing they feel abandoned and "forsaken", and decide to commit suicide |

So catchy! Anyways, I think this song is saying that people should stop dwelling on their pain and work on fixing it instead... Assuming I'm right about the meaning (and that's always a stretch lol), I think it's somewhat hypocritical of the band to write this song telling others to lose the doomsday mentality when some of their other songs are rather bleak and negative. ("I'm staring down the barrel of a 45") |

| I just discovered this song; it's not that popular, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Considering what it's about, if you see what I mean. Yeah, if you've ever felt completely and utterly alone, you know what this song is about. I'm going through a difficult time right now, where I don't have any close friends at my school. It's one of the most painful things, to be suffering in isolation while you're surrounded by happy people in their cliques. So just knowing that you're not the only person that feels that way is all it takes to make your day a little easier. Plus, as the saying goes, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I think this song is trying to make a point, that because of your suffering, you become a better, tougher person. | |
