This song hits home for me personally. From what I get from the lyrics, he is talking to an ex-girlfriend and neither one of them are over each other but are in new relationships. What we don't know is WHY they are not together, if they miss each other so much. I know that, fo rme, my ex and I care for each other a lot, but the reasons we can't be together are just not as simple as we don't get along, or because we fell out of love. HIs fear of committment and fear of emotional closeness is what keeps us apart, even though we care for each other. That is why I can relate to this song. These two seem to still care about each other but for some reason, they cannot be together. That is how it is with me and my ex...sounds stupid, sounds weird, sounds like my ex is just making excuses, but it's not that way at all, and it seems this song was created just for my situation. |

I don't think that this song is about a terrorist blowing up a plane. I my opinion, it is about a guy who gets on a plane to go somewhere (maybe a business trip) and he buys a postcard and writes how much he loves her and misses her. It seems as though the plane crashes and she still manages to get that postcard he intended to send. And, whatever he wrote on the postcard seemed like he was literally writing it from HEAVEN. |
