Panic! at the Disco – I Constantly Thank God For Esteban Lyrics 18 years ago
I briefly read through the five pages,
but i just find it amusing how everyone assumes it's about the 'scene'.
I really don't think panic are interested in the scene.
Mainly because in an interview Ryan made a comment saying he get's offended when people think his lyrics are about the 'scene' and 'emo' because he felt his lyrics were much more then that.

I believe it was right waaaay back on page one.
I think it's referring to Ryan's girlfriend cheating on him and everyone lying and such.
It was explained on page one, i'm not going to do it again.

And i deffinately don't think the lyrics are about the church, it just doesn't seem that Ryan would write such obvious lyrics.
As he doesn't do that in other songs.

Timberland – Give it to me (featuring Nelly Furtardo and Justin Timberlake) Lyrics 18 years ago
Apparently Justins verse is directed at three people,
Prince, kevin federline and Janet Jackson.

Chuck Taylor already stated what was directed at Prince.
But Kevin Ferderline apparently said he was going to beat Justin Timberlake off the charts and take number one
so that's what the line
"We missed you on the charts last week, damn that’s right you wasn’t there"
is directed at.
And "Just let me clear the air" was the first thing Janet Jackson said when she went on Oprah about the whole "wardrobe malfunction thing, and she pretty much blamed Justin.

This is what I was told by a friend earlier today.

Paramore – Misery Business Lyrics 18 years ago
i'm am a paramore fan, but honestly to me the lyrics are a little basic.
I could put this down to Hayley's age and that I am comparing these lyrics to others written by much older artists.

But the line 'Once a whore you're nothing more'
just seems a little childish, and it feels not much thought was put into that line.

And honestly all up the lyrics seems a little harsh.
My perception of the song is that
Hayley had a crush on a guy, but unfortunetly for her he started going out with another girl.
And she became jealous.
But she fails to note that clearly the guy liked the girlfriend.
And then they broke up and now either Hayley is going out with him, or just has him away from her.

I believe all the anger towards the girl in this song was probably just jealousy.
And that Hayley gives the perception she is better then the other girl, but she is treating the guy like an object, acting like she's won a prize or something.

I don't mind listening to the song, but I hope the rest of the songs on Riot have a little more lyrical substance.

And you can get angry at me, but i'm just stating me honest opinion.
It's just an opinion.
