a lot of their songs are about wings. in Chloroform Days, they say "On terrible wings, no change in the weather." in Motorcycle they say, "Simple wings are simply pulled apart." and now in Save Me they say "i feel my wings have broken in your hands." Why the repeated mentions of wings? does it have some kind of meaning?

i think it's just a cool poem they wrote with imagery. artists do that sometimes. it doesn't necessarily have to mean anything specific, about like a person or something.

the song is about when they were traveling in africa, and either robert plant or jimmy page was thinking that kashmir was somewhere near where they were. they thought it was a desert-like place, when it really actually isn't.
