| Mr. Bungle – Sweet Charity Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Excellent summary of ideas. I had a very similar impression as your first, except I get more of a feeling about death with the last part, and which is the overall general theme of the entire song. The references to "The Heavens have opened" at the start and end of the song. | |

| Too right, an awesome song. A brilliant subtlety of humour as well. | |

Amazing song- this captures the esscense of a complete mind washed over with psychoactives. ---- Drive boy, dog boy Dirty numb angel boy In the doorway boy She was a lipstick boy She was a beautiful boy ---- Sounds like when you're just flowing with LSD and you cant help but notice a million things at once individually and can't decide what to concentrate on. |

| Scooter – Nessaja Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"And I come to find out he's saying "The painted cow!" WTF!?" If you look on some of Scooter's galleries, you'll see a photo of a cow on a farm with "SCOOTER" painted accross it. This song was released shortly after I saw that photo and I'm guessing it's some kind of tribute to their support for the band. |

"this whole song is awesome...but my favorite part is the end...like the last 20 seconds" exactly the same with me, its so great. when it does the line "where the birds cant sing along" and screams it, but it's numbed- awsome. and to be honest, it's hard enough to look into the real meaning of any song, let alone Scott's, it's so much harder because you have to consider the drugs he was on when he wrote them. i gave up looking into the meanings very quickly, but i still find it interesting to read the lyrics =] |

| Eagles – Doolin-Dalton Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| hairy is right, of course. Famous outlaws of The Dalton Gang, the leader being Robert Dalton, they were only around for 2 years or so, and were killed in a local rebellion to foil a plan of theirs to rob a bank in Coffeyville. I've been listening to this song for a while, and I recently read about these outlaws and realised what this song was about, haha. | |

I cant remember the last time I tried to soberly try to climb to the stars :) and taking a trip to the stars and back again sounds like an awsome salvia moment (Y) jim. |

| Queens of the Stone Age – Mosquito Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"I think this song is about the circle of life, that all living animals or plants end up as food when they die, but talks about the mosquito that don't eat dead animals, eat living animals (sucking their blood), because of these they say "eat you alive" !!!" Very correct- here is why. *This part is the life of a mosquito to us, in actuality. (What we see) I know, I know the sun is hot Mosquitoes come and suck your blood --"What mosquitoes do: eat just like humans. (suck your blood to survive)" Leave you there all alone Just skin and bone --"Leave you once they've had their full, like humans." *This is the metaphorical life of a mosquito, in a way, how they see it. But comparing us to the food we catch and eat, e.g. a small rabbit/deer. When you walk among the trees Listening to the leaves --"Minding your own business (what the mosquito sees of you) comparing us to the rabbit we hunt." The further I go the less I know The less I know --"The more oblivious you become to the fact that you are being stalked. (decribing what a mosquito sees of us humans, comparing us to the way we hunt rabbits)" Where will you run? Where will you hide? --"Human is about to be caught by the mosquito from it's point of view. (Comparing to a rabbit)" Lullabies To paralyze --"Human has been caught by mosquito, describing how fast the catch it and the placid feeling when you are not expecting anything until getting caught." Fat and soft, pink and weak Foot and thigh, tongue and cheek --"The mosquito before "eating" you. Except humans are alive when they are "eaten" by as mosquito. (Comparing to how we would examine a dead rabbit, hence the way the mosquitos leave you alive.)" You know I'm told they swallow you whole Skin and bone --"Not sure, but remember that this part of the story is being told from the humans' ("caught" by a mosquito) or rabbits' (caught by a human) point of view, I think this is a side-description of getting caught and eaten- with the human/rabbit talking about rumours they've heard of what happens when you've been caught." Cutting boards and hanging hooks Bloody knives, cooking books --"This is basically showing what a mosquito would see of a human, preparing to "butcher" us (Suck our blood). But is also using many descriptions of humans when we prepare to butcher our meat." Promising you won't feel a thing At all *this means either... --"That even though the way a mosquito sucks blood from humans seems barbaric it is actually very painless" (possibly this reason because the barbaric appearance is all described in the above parts of the song)" --"Or this is like ironic sarcasm, and is the final description that separates humans from mosquitos, showing that the mosquito obviously knows that you will feel pain (even though we dont, the mosquito thinks we do and is therefore nasty and malicious for thinking so), but sort of makes this joke of saying you wont feel a thing: separating humans from them because our meat is dead once we (and mose other animals) eat it (more humane and friendly than eating it alive)" Swallow and chew Eat you alive --"Decribing (again) how a mosquito will see the "sucking of our blood" and comparing to how we eat out meat with the exception of eating them alive..." All of us food that hasn't died And the light says --"The punchline in clear words- everyone is the mosquito's food that is still alive (sounding barbaric in comparison to how we eat our meat)" Simmering, pick and pluck Tenderize, bone to dust --"I think is this another verse about how the mosquito sees us as he is "eating" us. (Comparing them to us with more uses of meat preparation- "Simmering": cooking meat, "pick and pluck": plucking game", "Tenderize": tenderizing meat, "bone to dust": de-boning the meat." The sweetest grease, finest meat you'll ever taste Taste, taste --"Describing our blood, comparing to our rabbit's fine meat sautéed in its' grease." So you scream, whine, and yell Supple sounds of dinner bell --"I think this is sort of describing what we should be doing from the mosquito's point of view before it sucks our blood: it's also like a human having a dinner party before the meat is introduced to the table, with one exception- the meat is alive. Hence the "Supple sounds of dinner bell"." We all will feed the worms and trees So don't be shy --"I think this is also describing what we should be doing, or in some cases is very true, e.g. Malaria- dying after we have been bitten." Swallow and chew Eat you alive --"Summing up the song, hence being the last 3 lines of vocal.- What a mosquito does to us. (saying that they eat us alive is barbaric and inhumane, saying they are evil)" All of us food that hasn't died --"Last line, alias for the summing up- "Everyone is live meat for the mosquito"" |

| Moby – Extreme Ways Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
To me I believe that this song has something to do with Moby comparing himself to an angel or another non-human entity making a report of today's world as we know it. It sounds as though he's talking from the point of view of an angel visiting Earth in the form of a human as though it's from a journal or something. jim. |
