I don't know about the latent homo-eroticism of this song. Although the the lyrics are pretty straight-forward anybody who has seen them live can attest to this just being a great song to dance to. As for the gay-ness Dick Valentine definantelly has a Freddy Mercury vibe to him but I think that comes from him just enjoying to perform. But all the political comments make sense to, they are definantelly a political band. I think the answer is a layering of all the concepts (Latent Homo-Eroticism, Political Undertones, Goofy Song) and just mesh them together in one kick ass song. |
