| Panic! at the Disco – The Piano Knows Something I Don't Know Lyrics | 17 years ago |

If any body here has taken junior year high school English this might make sense to you. I think this song is frame story. a frame story, basically is a story that consists of another story within it. It gets a little deeper than that, but there's no need for that. Remember panic's Nothing Rhymes With Circus tour? This reminds me of it. It's just very carnival style in between the two sad verses. I think it's either about the circus about the Roaring twenties. The circus part really comes from what fueled said, a lot of metaphors on how she's kind of magical. The swing part makes me think the outer frame is twenties, the good times, when you could get all sexed up for a dime and love was a product of business. But after the twenties, the Depression. That why i think he misses being great (the trojan horse, won't shave his beard because life sucks enough already) I know its a stretch but that's what the beauty of music is: it's personal. The outer frames are the sorrow after a good time. The piano part really makes me think of the Twenties, though. The inside frame really makes me think of circus people and how their life really is, miserable because they're laughing stocks or freaks. I like the circus idea more. |

This song definitely is about someone watching someone they love going through Alcoholism. He sober one just can't take it anymore, because he refuses to be hurt. It would be better if he just left. It was in an interview. |
