definatley sounds like nuclear holocaust (lyrically and atmospherically) and it doesnt necesarilly mean the bombings took place on the 4th of July. Its just that the detonations were like fireworks on the 4th of July. and the "jesus tries to crack a smile" and the third verse could mean that the hapless survivors of the bombings have lost hope in religion and everything else and "Jesus" has let hummanity down. |
