"Remember when I was so strange and likeable" describes what it was like when they first met. Nobody's changed, but they've gotten comfortable with each other, like Moses19 said, her quirks aren't so much cute anymore as they are annoying, or at least 'normal'.
And I don't think that her straying is so much physical as it is emotional. Perhaps she's distancing herself from her partner because she's "a little scared" of how serious the relationship could become otherwise.
"Back in your head" is just to do with how when you have a crush on someone, you'll think about them constantly and they'll never be off your mind, or out of your head. Sara just wants that kind of passion and caring back in the relationship. |

i think this ends the chapter of uncertainty seen in 'hop a plane' and 'soil, soil'. tegan realizes she shouldn't hurt herself by waiting forever for someone who might never come around, so instead of waiting to be heartbroken she breaks it off with the person herself, knowing that it will be better for her in the end, even if she doubts her decision now. |

from a lot of the songs on this album it sounds like tegan was seeing someone and the boundaries of their relationship were questionable, i.e. the other person wouldn't say whether they were dating or just friends, or something else, and probably said that she needed time to think about it. "you take a second take a second, take a year take a year" and so tegan, who really likes this person just wants to hear that they're not together so that she can move on with her life, rather than have the pain of wishful thinking. i think the same theme is continued into 'soil, soil', and ends with 'call it off' |

"I won't mistake you for problems with me"
It makes me think of how my ex would blame me or other people when something bad happened in his life. It was really depressing to go through, but this sounds like rising above that blame and realizing you're too good for it. This song is to me means, "I'm over you" |

I really don't think there's anything wrong with the repetition of the line considering Sara wrote both songs about the same thing. It just links them. She said in one of the videos on youtube that she wrote them both as a response to a book by John Irving. |
