This has always been one of my favorite KISS songs. But I have to admit the version Lenny Kravitz did on the KISS My Ass tribute album was pretty bad ass. |

The fact that you would write such a thing proves you do not even begin to understand Neal Morse or what he's writing about. |

This entire CD is awesome and even more awesome live. Check out the Sola Scriptura and Beyond DVD.
Oh, and by the way. Martin Luther did not post the 95 Theses on the door of the Vatican. Tradition holds that he posted it on the door of the All Saint's Church (aka Castle Church) in Wittenberg, Germany on Halloween 1517. |

| Neal Morse – The Change Lyrics

This song really ministers to me. I believe Neal is describing the feeling that comes when you first accept Christ into your life and he's "calling all people" to come experience "the change". The "peace of mind" and feeling of "being in love like the very first time", to me, is the peace and love that can only be experienced through Christ Jesus. "Losing face so we can win the real race" is the laying aside of our lives in order spend an eternity of living in His presence in the end. The Apostle Paul often described the Christian Life as a race to be won. In 1Corinthians 9:24 he said
"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. |

Great power ballad. One of my favorite.
Speaking of Vinnie Vincent, I saw him in concert once. He opened for Iron Maiden. He's an amazing guitar player but he's all flash and no substance. That's why he didn't make it with Kiss. |

I saw in interview with Paul Stanley once where he said that around this time he was frequenting some of the disco's and dance clubs in New York. He heard the music that was being played and thought, Hell, anyone can write this kind of music and have a hit. That night he went home and wrote I Was Made For Lovin' You and the rest is Kisstory! |

Yes, this was Gene's rebuttal to Paul's claiming anybody can write a Gene Simmons song and proceeded to write God of Thunder |

| KISS – A World Without Heroes Lyrics

This song was part Kiss' attempt at a concept album. The idea was it was to be the soundtrack to a movie called The Elder, hence the name of the album. The album is about a young man chosen to go on quest to fight the forces of evil. He decides that the quest is to much for him to take on and it seems the evil character , Mr. Blackwell, will be victorious as there is no hero to fight against him. That's where the song A World Without Heroes comes. In the end he accepts the path laid in front of him and is victorious in defeating Mr. Blackwell.
Is it a cheesy story...Yes
Was it one of Kiss' worst albums...Yes
Was it the end of Kiss...No
But it was the first album to feature Eric Carr on drums |
